Saving data to cd
« on: January 11, 2008, 08:34:22 AM »
Hi
I am trying to save a file to my CD in my drive and its telling me that there is no CD in the drive. When I check the properties in the drive it says the CD is full. This can't be its a new CD and I tried 2. Is there a setting I am missing. Any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks
Julia

What program are you using to save (aka burn) the file to the CD?
Have you been able to burn CDs in the past?
If yes have you changed anything recently? Added or removed hardware or software for example?
What version of windows is this?

    HI
I am sorry I didn't give un enought information. I am using windows xp and yes I burned many cd's before. What i am doing is going into my accounting program and I save a copy to disk. Then I write cd to disk. It usually works fine. Just not this time. I don't recall changing anything.

What are you using to save the files to CD? Popular choices include Nero, Roxio, Ashampoo or the built in burning feature in XP.

You are sure the CDs are blank?
Are you using a brand of blank CDs that you have successfully burned before?

No I am wondering what program you use to burn your files to a CD.
Could you take me through the steps you do when you want to burn a file to a CD? I think this will clear it up. :)

        Also please consider these questions.
You are sure the CDs are blank?
Are you using a brand of blank CDs that you have successfully burned before?
