cccleaner install - not executing !

I've installed CCCLEANER on a WIN XP system.  Even though it got installed properly, I could not execute it.   I tried to double click on the desktop shortcut as well as went to the programs, but in vain.

Any idea why this happened?

   How do you know it is installed correctly ?

Perhaps uninstall ccleaner, and then reinstall it ...........
When you attempt to open ccleaner........ do you get any error message ?
Do you have any security utilities which might be preventing ccleaner from running ?
Have you tried......... clicking start/run .......... and in the run box type "ccleaner" and then then click ENTER.
BTW, which version of ccleaner are you installing ?
