Voice Chat Problem on Vista OS

I have this problem regarding on Voice Chat on Yahoo Messenger.. Everytime i Enter on a room on YM the only thing that the crowd hear on me is my voice rather than that nothing else.  I maximum my volume backgroud for them to hear but they didn't unfortunately.. i hope anyone can help me regarding this problem.
