Hi Guys,

I use word quite infrequently and am not very used to it but i have a very annoying problem.

I select text in any word document and paste new text over the top but the new text appears infront of the selected text and the selected text remains on the page so i have to delete it manually?

Has anybody else encountered this? or is there some setting i've accidentally turned on to prevent it deleting selected text?

Any help would be appreciated thank you

Tools, Options, Edit, the box next to "Typing replaces selection" needs to be checked (ticked if you are English) so if it is not, do so, then click OK.
