Greetings,

I need to make my Seagate Barracuda ST 380011A HDD into an external drive. It is currently a 'slave' on an old computer, want to use it as external drive on new computer.

All of the 'enclosures' or 'cradles' I see are identified as being IDE, while the ST 380011A is identified as being ATA.

Will any of these IDE 'enclosures' work with this drive? Is this drive what they call a 3.5 inch drive? I am specifically looking at

will that enclosure work with the ST 380011A ?

regards,

IDE/ATA are the same designation...any IDE enclosure will work.
