    Unable to read multisession DVD
    « on: February 25, 2008, 10:30:55 AM »
I started a multisession data DVD with Nero and now I can't seem to finalize it.  I started it quite a while ago and I'm not sure if I was using Nero 6 or 7 (or that it matters).  When I attempt to add additional content Nero 7 prompts me to select a track (2 are displayed) to add data to, but won't actually allow me to select anything.  The only option within Nero I can find for finalization is Finalize VR, but this isn't a video, and I'm concerned I would lose the data.

I've also attempted to finalize using DVD Decrypter.  When I try to finalize the disc I get an error message stating "Session Fixation Error - Incomplete track in session" and gobbledygook I/O errors if I attempt to close tracks or sessions.

My question then; does anyone know of software that will allow me to view the physical sectors on the DVD and recover the data even though Windows can't?
Why is this thus?  What is the reason for this thusness?

Thanks!  I'll give it a try and post the results.

I have recovered 1.68 GB of data that I don't really need.  Now I can toss the DVD without worrying.  Now if I could just find the mutlisession DVD with the info I was looking for . . . .

I thought that's what we were working on...ISOBuster is good but it won't find lost DVD's...
