I'm sorry but it boggles my mind why haven't you included the original Doom. Arguably one of the most important titles in PC gaming ever, the game that pretty much defined 3D shooters and networked multiplayer gaming.
Doom 2 and 3 were just sequels, Doom 1 was genesis.

At least, the version I played has the BFG and Plasma Gun.

I played the PS1 version actually, which as Doom 1 and Doom 2: *censored* on Earth.
The only differences are that some levels are removed or changed, and some enemies are also changed.
The weapons are the same as on the original PC version.

The PC version of Doom included fists, a chainsaw, a pistol, a shotgun, a chaingun, a rocket launcher, a plasma rifle, and the BFG 9000.

The only weapon addition in Doom II was the double-barreled shotgun.

Trust me, I've got both of them here on the CD rack on my desk.

eh you got the real deal, i got this Doom engine that runs both Doom 1 and 2. yet it only allows u to get the plasma gun and bfg in doom 2 even if u use cheats to try to get it on Doom 1

dude Doom 3 freaks you out three times as much as bioshock.

noooo... i dont think either are really scary, but doom 3 is just cheap scares like im gonna jump out at you here its not actual psyhological fear. I guess bioshock is kind of scary but its just the atmosphere and what not, but bioshock isn't really terrifying or anything.

Macdad, if you don't have the Plasma cannon or BFG then your playing the Shareware demo, which only included the first episode (knee deep in the dead) and not the following episodes (The shores of *censored*,Inferno,Thy Flesh Consumed).

On the topic of Doom 3, I thought it was kind of silly, almost predictable.. I'd be going down a corridor..
