I have a hewlett packard desktop pavillion 2000 me edition. i recently tried to install a different drive and when i tried to take off the back panel where the mother board rests i accidentally disconnected the power button cable from the mother board. i dont know where to put it back, i cant seem to find a pin connector that fits only seven pins. there is a pin for com 2 and for the speaker, reset, and led. i tried to plug it in there but it didnt really fit and it turned the computer back on but with a blank screen(it didnt boot) and the bottom led was flashing i think. i think the cable should go on the bottom right across from my sound cards but i am unable to find where to connect it. please help!
