Converting a parallel port to a serial port

I need to hook an Epson printer up to a Pitney Bowes postage machine.  The epson has a parallel port the pitney a serial port.  Having a hard time...any suggestions?

    A long time ago... they used to make serial printers.  Why do you need to connect a printer to a postage machine?
