I have an HP Pavillion a1700n. 250 GB HD, 1024 MB memory, 3800 AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual core. Vista operating program.

PROBLEM: When I try to run personal videos that i download off my camcorder it pauses and starts continuously. I run it on Quicktime.

How many other programs are on in the System tray area when doing this ? ?
Try turning off any you don't need.
Another 1G stick of RAM wouldn't hurt and it's relatively cheap right now...

Thanks for the advice Broni, I downloaded the VCL and it works better. It still has the hesitation but at least you can watch it and not miss anything.

I'm going to take you're advice to Patio and I think that should be a total fix.

        Thanks again guys. : O )

I'd take patio's advice. Vista needs 2GB of RAM.
        Also, what's your video card?
