Moving "Users" folder from one HD to another in Vista?!?!?
« on: April 16, 2008, 10:31:13 AM »
My lap top has got two 50G hard drives on my laptop and I've filled up one of them.  To free up some space on my Vista (C:) drive I wanted to move my USERS folder containing my profiles, docs, music, etc to my 2nd (E:) drive.

If I drag the folder from the C: folder into the E: folder will this cause any problems?  For example, will Windows Media Player know to send ripped songs to the E: drive?

I would look at moving other items if possible...this is an easy way to cause issues with the machine although there are plenty of Tutorials on the web with instructions on how to do so...
I've only ran this method on 3 builds but it makes it a real pain to make a backup image that can be restored properly.
This should be a consideration if you decide to do this...
