    Configuring an on-board Audio device...
    « on: April 22, 2008, 01:29:43 PM »
Uhm excuse me everyone, I'm currently having the same problem as well...
This happened after I formatted my PC and then set up a fresh copy of
XP... I know its about the drivers and stuff but then where can I get the
right one? The sound device is already built in to the motherboard but
then its not detected by the system itself... Please help...

    Specs:
Comp Brand: VIA Technologies, Inc.  KT400-8235 (according to HWinfo)
    Motherboard: ECS L7VTA2
    Chipset: VIA VT8377A KT400A + VT8233CF/BVT8235

I tries using the drivers from ECS, but then they failed to make the
system detect the sound device... Yet again, please help...

    Download, and install Everest: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html
Open it, click Computer, then Summary.
In upper menu, go Report>Quick Report-Summary
Save it in text file, and paste it in your next post.
Don't include anything under line Debug - PCI
