    No hard disk detected    In the beginnig of the start up it says this should I be concern?
    2.1 dual intel  975 bx motherboard 8500 gt video 300 gig maxtor harddrive

            If its a sata just simply unplug it an replug the connections to see if reseting the drive dont help.  If its IDE do the same.  If your unsure come back

            It sounds to me that he is asking about when he first starts his machine and it is doing the auto detect of the IDE drives. Which shows no drives because he is using SATA drives.

            I think as long as the machine boots and works than he has nothing to worry about....

                Just some extra steps in case however, I didnt feel like dealing with spolier cause it mite not be a sata drive, however yes I agree with truenorth an he does come back.

                  yes it is a sata setup and it does boot up correctly but Im just curious why in the beggining in dos config it would say this.

                  Depending on the BIOS this message will appear if no "IDE" drives are being used...
