Does the OS responsible for the colour quality?
    « on: June 15, 2008, 04:05:02 PM »
I upgraded my computer using the OS recovery disk. The computer came with a very poor colour quality of only 4bit and only ONE option appear which is the 4bit. How can I fix this?

The computer used Window XP then one day I boot it then it stop and start again when it comes to the part for me to logon. It went like that over and over for days. So I used the recovery disk and it reach to the part for logon but I hardly see anything. I check the display setting and it only has 4bits on color quality. However it wasn't like that before I used the Recovery Disk.

I hope you didn't have anything valuable stored on the computer... Recovery disks have a tendency to wipe the drive and reinstall all factory settings. Which is strange- did you happen to get the graphics card changed since you purchased the computer? Because the recovery CD would install the graphics driver for the card that was originally in the computer.

Clik on Broni's link above before we go further...we don't even know if this is a laptop or a desktop for now.
