Dell-Primary Disk Not Found

I have a Dell OptiPlex GX110 with Windows XP Professional OS. I moved and put my computer in storage briefly. When I got it out of storage and booted up, I got the message -   Alert!  Cover was previously removed.
I reset this in the chassis intrusion to disabled.  When I rebooted again I got the following three  messages -  Primary Disk 1 not found  -  Secondary Hard Disk Drive 1 not found  -  NTLDR missing press any key to restart.
I sure don't know what the heck happened???  After reading everything I could find here at computer hope, it looks as if I need to get a XP start up CD, AND some advice on how to get my BIOS/CMOS to recognize my hard drive and CD. 

I would really appreciate any help!

how old is the hard drive in the system?

hardware can fail sometimes.... and moisture or anything nasty could have got to your computer while it was put in storage

Travel to Dell's site and enter your service tag # ...this will tell you what kind of drive is in there.
Travel to the drive manuf. site and DLoad their Free diagnostics and run them
Post back with the results.
