Laptop dual screening with a monitor

i have a 1394 port and usb ports only.
i already have a monitor with S video.

is there a cable avaliable for this and is it workable?

If you don't have a video out port, you can buy a USB video adapter.  I don't know how well these work, but I do know they are available.  You may then need an adapter if you can't find a USB video adapter with an S-Video output.
