    « on: July 15, 2008, 03:05:41 AM »
I have just built a new computer. I installed windows on the hard drive but when it boots i get this message. I have tried fixboot, fixmbr, bootcfg /repair, chkdsk /r but still i get this message. The hard disk is working because it worked on other computer and also i was able to install windows xp on it. I dont know what is the problem.

      1.  See here

      2.  Some build questions:
          a.  Was Windows XP built on the machine it is to run on?
          b.  Home Edition or Professional?
          c.  Original, Service Pack 1 (SP1), SP2, or SP3?
          d.  Corporate, Retail, or OEM Installation CD?
          e.  Legitimate original CD or a copy?
