    Monitor-no signal
    « on: July 17, 2008, 01:53:31 PM »
My computer tower will not turn off unless I unplug it or turn it of on the back. My monitor
screen just shows a box that says-no signal, check signal cable.  Also my tower beeps when it comes up, its the same length beep all the time.  Any suggestions?

No it's not continous. You hear a beep-silence-beep-silence-beep. The same over & over.

On-board video, or separate video card?
      Try re-seating RAM.

If re-seating the RAM doesn't do it, look here to identify beep: http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

        Post back with results.
