    CAN NOT SEND OR RECEIVE E-MAIL

    My wife and I share the same laptop. We each have our own username and password. Recently my email quite working. I can not receive or send any messages. My wife's continues to work fine. We are using Outlook Express and Windows XP
    Any suggestions?

    can you connect to internet explorer? Dis able your firewall. If you can get into internet explorer type in 192.168.0.1 enter

    Is this a company email we´re talking about? Have you checked your account settings? Is your outgoing / incoming server correctly configured?

          call your internet provider and check your settings against what they tell you. you might have accidently changed an important setting.

          Try going to your firewall settings and go to "allowed applications" etc. and add Outlook. First check if it is in the banned applications. Most firewall software has the option to do this.

            garystin's wifes account still works. If the firewall was blocking the mail program, wouldent his wifes account not work???

            It mightnt. I think if he uses 2 different user accounts, they work in different ways. I know on my home computer, if I install any software, its not installed on the other user a/c's.
