      Does an error message about formatting appear as soon as you plug in your drive? Can you see the drive in Explorer?
      If you don't have time to do it right
                      ...when will you have time to do it over?

      Have you tried it using it on other computers? What happened prior to this? Have you downloaded something on that stick?

      How is it being reported in Disk Management ? ?
      Right click My Computer and select Manage then Disk Management...
      Then right click the USB stick and select Properties.

      If it says RAW then it was unplugged prematurely and chances are your data is gone...

        I have had this problem myself & found that if I re-booted the puter with the stick in-situ it then worked.
