Headphone jack problem
« on: August 01, 2008, 09:31:17 PM »
I just purchased a new toshiba satellite laptop and I'm having a problem with the headphone jack. When i plug into the headphone jack the sound isn't routed from the speakers so the sound stays in the speakers and the headphones get nothing. All the forums i've seen about this have been for linux but i'm running vista, any help on how to correct this?

Can you try other headphones?

If this is a new laptop, it's possible the headphone jack is broken.
