Can not visit some web sites.

Hello, I can't visit some web sites even the firewall is disabled.

The page only display as one symbol "<" or totally blank.
When I look up the source code. It is also "<" or blank as well.

The most strangle thing is I can visit some homepage but failed to visit the sub webpages.

For example,
I can see http://www.sqlteam.com and http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/.
However I can't open http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=30.


My computer operating system: Win xp pro.
IE 6.0.2900

No, many web sites.
I haven't used firefox.

I suggest you try Firefox. (you can uninstall it later if you want)

We need to know if it's a problem with IE or the computer.

Just switch to the Firefox.
It is still not working.

Get help from company IT department.

One computer failure could be caused by anything

Two or more computers suggests one of you got an infection and it has been passed around.

I think the IT department would require that any possibility of a virus should be notified.
They may even require that your computer be quarantined;
and if your boss catches a virus the consequences could be severe !!!

But my computer does install antivirus program.
Do you think it is a virus issue?
