    Recovery partition access keys
    « on: September 03, 2008, 04:59:07 PM »
Is there a list of recovery partition access keys on the net? I know that Dell use Ctrl-F11 after POST but was hoping someone has posted a complete list?

    Thanks in advance

Are you trying to access the recovery partition on your computer?

    What model is your computer?

Just wondered if there is a list for all (or at least the common ones) Because might be getting a load of ex-corp machines to recover.

I don't know of anything like that but, Google works like a charm.

Once you get the machines, type in the Manufacturer (and maybe model number just in case) and look for how to use the recovery partition.
You should note that not all computers have a recovery partition.

Sorry didn't get back about this, yeah I just Google my recovery keys but if anyone is watching Dell normally uses F11 or sometimes Ctrl-F11 Just had a I.T. Works system today that uses F10,

Had an akward one once that needed a Norton ghost Boot disc and the Gho image fille manually overwrite the user partition. Hope this helps if only a little
