Pen drive not detecting

Hello friends

 Recently i formatted my system and reinstalled windows xp professional sp 2 and all the necessary drivers including USB2.0. But this time when i insert pen drive ,the system is not recognizing it. It showing a message that "new hardware found......".I follwed there mentioned instructions and uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. But the problem remains as it is and it still showing the yello color dot infront of "usb mass storage device" in device manager dialog box.

Please help me in this reagard

Does this drive work in another Computer?

Also, if you go to Device Manager, are there any Yellow Exclamation Marks or Question Marks?

Did you re-install the motherboard chipset drivers ? ?
These are often forgotten because the machine will run...but not well.

Yes i have reinstalled the mother board drivers. But the problem remain as it is.

And it showing yello color exclamation mark, bt not question mark. Immediatly after inserting pendirve it giving messages as folllows

1. new hardware detected.
2. usb mass storage device
3. A probelm occured during installation of driver n it might not work properly.

i haven tried it. But i have downloaded same same set of drivers from internet and tried them too. Bu they also not working.

I strongly suggest you try to see if it works on another computer.

This way we can tell if it is a problem with your computer or a problem with the USB Drive.

Is it occured bcz of ny hardware loose connections or failure??Bcz i recently reassembled my system.

I used the same mother board CD several times before..and this time too the audio drivers and other drivers installed properly.


any how i vill try it with other computer too.

Just plug it in and see if you can access it.
