floppy disk fail (80) error during boot sequence

I suggest adding this new section to the floppy disk error page with respect to error (80) on this site's help page: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000426.htm

If floppy disk light does not come on during PC boot sequence check the following:
1) check power cable
2) check floppy data cable
3) check Motherboard BIOS setting for correct drive letter and disk format.

My own experience with error (80) was solved with item 3) above.

I hope this helps any others with this problem - especially with new motherboard installations,

If this is a new install Floppy] i would reverse the ribbon connection
