Do you only have the one anti-virus, as more than one can cause conflicts.

If it happened after you installed the anti-virus, can you uninstall it,  then reboot.
    11 cheers for binary !

        thanks for the replies.

actually the computer was owned by my friend. I installed 2 antivirus softwares on the computer, Avira and Avast. I got an error message after I installed avast.

Here's the real problem, the computer boots then after 1 or 2 minutes, the cpu shuts down and can't be booted again.

Is the probelm with the software only or with the hardware also.

My friend said that it was exposed to direct sunlight.

        Any possible solution please..

You should only have ONE anti-virus on your computer. Any more than one will cause conflicts in the computer.
Uninstall one of the anti-virus's before you do anything else.

If the computer shuts down before you uninstall, try uninstalling in Safe Mode

You can access Safe Mode by repeatedly pressing F8 during start-up.

          Probably an overheating issue.......

Here's the real problem, the computer boots then after 1 or 2 minutes, the cpu shuts down and can't be booted again.

Visually check if your CPU fan is spinning when the computer is powered on...
