    « on: November 19, 2008, 01:15:02 AM »
    hello,

when i open my control panel>add/remove program(s)>click the remove button for a selected program(s), it disappears from the screen (good).
then i use i restart my pc.

i use the search option for the program(s) removed and the program(s) with its components are still there (bad).

    what am i doing incorrectly?

    thank you.  ???

Have you checked to see if the program has a built in removal function? - they tend to work better than M$ own.
You could also try CCLeaner - this has a built in remover for applications and works really well.

      What exactly is left?
Sometimes, Add\Remove fails to remove program's folder, which in most cases will be empty, or may contain couple of not important files. It's safe to remove that folder manually.

thank you all for replying, if i had received notification i would have responded earlier.

i have been having problems in ie7 with activex, adobe and scripting (can't download anything, i can open email, but can't DO anything, i have unexpected changes with my pc, security settings changed and EVERY page has the yellow shield w/ the black exclamation mark - ERROR ON PAGE).
i've run my a/v, antimalwares, hijackthis and they all come up negative.
PCWIZARD - i've used ccleaner before and it does a good job.  i did not think to apply it to this.
PATIO - i was removing the adobe programs.
BRONI - .exe,.dll,.vm.dll and others.  i still can't delete them, even manually.

i think i will try to do a restore system to factory setting as soon as i can figure out how to do it.

        thank you all, again !
