    What are the requirements for upgrading an old comp to win xp home?

    Okay I am currently  using win 98 SE, 158MB RAM, Intel810 chipset Graphics DriverPV 2.1.

    I actually found my winxp home edition recovery cd(its a flippin miracle!).

    So how do I know if this old comp is compatible.

    The comp is a gateway 2000.

    Hopefully I provided enough information for you to answer my question.

      insert a WXP CD and select check system compatibility...it should produce a report for you...
