I get the following message when I have to restart computer: Assert failed/Projects/wt Kernel/src/Win32/cm/core/ cmCodeModule.cp :90m_CodeHandle !=NULL.  After this, I get this message:  ddcmigrate.exe-Application.  The application failed to initialize properly 0x000003.  Click on OK to terminate the application.  Thank you for any help or suggestions. :'(

It is Windows XP.  I bought the computer in 2004 and have not had any problems with it being slow or error messages.  My daughter is the one that brought this up.  I noticed one day she rebooted the computer and when I asked her why she told me there were error messages when she rebooted.  Not sure why she had to reboot in the first place.  This was probably six months ago.  Sorry I cannot be of more help.

no.  sorry...The messages may have started about 6 months ago. the computer is very slow.  My daughter swears she didn't do anything or install anything but AIM.  I really don't know how long it's been going on.

I have had Norton on the computer since I purchased it and I guess I assumed it would take care of it.  I will try to run one manually.  Thanks for the suggestion.

          Forget Norton.
          Remove it ASAP!
          Use this: http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,34939.0.html

Get a free Antivirus (much better than Norton IMO)
Either Avira, Avast or AVG Free.

          http://www.free-av.com
          http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html
          http://free.avg.com

Remember to tinstall only ONE. Once installed, run a full scan.

ddcmigrate.exe from your error is part of Wild Tangent application, which usually comes with some preinstalled games.

            Hewlett-Packard Pavillon
            AMD Athlon(tm)XP 300+
            2.10 GH2  448 MB of Ram

            File System    NTFS
            Capacity        144 GB
            Free Space    102 GB
            % Free           70%

I actually had to go to the disk defragmenter to see how much free space there was.

The proprieties for My Computer list:

            General      Computer Name      Hardware    Advance

            System Restore         Auto Updates         Remote

I checked under each one and there is nothing showing for memory size (My last computer had a pie shape on it and showed this info).  Under the Advance it has Performance     Visual Effects & Advance.  Under the Advance it says Data Execution Prevention.

I hope this helps.  I do have a few Wildtangent games as well as Pop Cap & Oberon.

Thanks for your help and patience
