Check your mobo specs for compatibility and the Intel site for what's currently available esp the socket differences.

Sockets are what the cpus go into.  I'm pretty sure your cpu and a standard 3.0 GHz have the same socket, but I'm only 80% sure.

So it's socket 478 on an OC2425 mobo.

Below is a quote from this site:

            Quote
important is the socket type on the motherboard and i suppose it's a socket 478. the fastest processor that is compatible with this mb is the Pentium 4 Northwood 2.8GHz 512KB L2 Cache Socket 478.
this processor does enhance the FSB to 533MHz but has the drawback that the memory would run at its peak speed in case it is PC2100 and will produce more heat (PC2700 ram runs fine on a FSB 533).

            Good luck.

It clearly has 3 PCI slots.
