    Host File Addition?
    « on: January 20, 2009, 02:59:51 PM »
Hello Everyone:  I placed a sex website into the Host file and then tried to access it, it was blocked, BUT Google came up instead with a whole list of sex sites.
Thats worse than the original site.  Why is Google bringing up these sites and how do I stop Google? Thanks

Did you have to tell us it was a sex site?

How's your eyesight? And your palms?

Tell us what you placed in your Hosts file (obfuscating the sex site url of course)

OHHH! I see now...Exactly what did you place in the hosts file?

But its true, you don't need to tell us exactly what site you blocked, replace the link with this instead (just to show us on the forum)

      Code: [Select]
      http://www.fakewebsite.com
Just replace it so you don't break any rules about porn or anything like that.

Just placing a site in the Hosts file will only accomplish blocking that one site...and i understand your frustration because you are outnumbered by what you don't want available to the kids.
