I have a Windows XP, Compaq, 448 MB RAM, DirectX 9.0c. Whenever I download a game I get an abstract picture. Download goes well, sound is alright, just the screen has abstract characters (abstract like Picasso). I ran a test on DirectX and the last two 3D tests showed the rotating cube but also had the abstract pictures on the cube instead of the Direct logo. Do you know what the problem is and can I fix it without going to the "shop"?? I would appreciate any suggestions. I am not a computer expert by any means so you will probably have to spell it out for me.
