Are you installing an OS clean or trying to boot a drive that had an OS on it ? ?
If clean set the CDROM as the first boot device...insert your Windows CD and re-boot.

Is the Seagate a SATA drive ? ?

Who said to disable RAID ?

More details on what you are doing are needed.

This is why it won't boot most likely...
Grad a legit XP CD and go from there.

P.S. Very early on in the XP setup you will see a bottom of screen prompt stating "Press F6 to install additional drivers" ...at this point press F6 and insert a floppy/CD with the SATA /RAID drivers...these can be DLoaded from your MBoard manuf. website.
