stop vista from installing drivers?

How can I stop vista from installing drivers all by itself?

I uninstalled gpu drivers and vista keeps trying to install them by itslef
got it fixed

NVM it wont stop doing it.  I set it to stop but it wont!!!!

It'll always install some drivers, at least generic drivers. Without them, you won't see anything on your screen.
Is it about same problem as in your other thread?

Can you not just install 9.2 over the top of the 9.1's? I never had to uninstall drivers before installing the new when working with my ATI cards.

Ive tried 8.10 8.11 8.12 and 9.1 and i am still getting freezes and white screens
