transfer to new hard drive (revised)
« on: March 13, 2009, 05:22:28 PM »
I recently upgraded my compaq presario 5006us with 2- 256 Mg RAM cards, and from an intel celeron processor to a intell PIII processor. I have an 80 mg hard drive which I have formatted and created a partition. I downloaded drive Image XML and backed up my C: drive. I attempted to transfer drive to drive. I get an error stateing that the f drive (NEW) could not be locked. so I attempted to restore the backup to the F drive which dumped the f drive all together. I went back and reformat and created a new partition. I would like to make the F drive my primary drive or replace to C: due to the drive begining to fail. i.e.noisy. and hanging up. how do i achive this.
