Numbering a list over 99 in word 2007
« on: April 03, 2009, 06:50:49 PM »
I'm trying to make a list but when I go from 99 to 100 the spacing gets all
messed up and the 100th item isn't lined up with the 99th item. It sort of
looks like this:

99. Hi
100.          Hi

If I hit the backspace even once the number is deleted. How do I get rid of
that space?

Is the ruler viewable?  If not, go to the view tab, then tick "ruler".  Now see if the line indents (the little triangles on the ruler on the top) are apart for some reason.  Are they 2 triangles and the little rectangle all together on the left as far as it can go?

    Use decimal tab for numbers.

    Like this:
       9.
      99.
    999.

    Not this:
    9.
    99.
    999.
