I have a few movies of mine I've burned that I wanted to watch while I'm on my lunch break at work, but WMP on my work machine says it needs the MPEG4 codec in order to play them.  Since I don't have IT access I can't just fix it myself like I would at home.  So is there any way to convert the MPEG4 files I have into an older format so they will play on my work machine? ???

Movies? Burned? This looks like it goes against our rules......

Hint: Google the term for the process that changes the file to the other format mentioned in your title and in your post.

Right, but you missed the part where I said they were movies of MINE that I burned.  Still goes against copyright laws, I suppose, but I'm not downloading stuff.  The reason I did that was so I could leave them in my desk at work and not have to worry about whether or not someone took them.  But you're right, I've already googled, but I'll have to wait till I get home to act on the  results of my googling.  Until then I was just curious to see what anyone here had to say....

      I see....

Well, you would want it to be quick. The media would have to be changed with a converter.

If you dont know DOS, you dont know Windows...

Thats why Bill Gates created the Windows NT Family.
