Error code 0xc0000005 - when right mouse click & other unexplained issues

Hi
new to this web site and not very PC literate - here go's

Running windows XP with SP3, on 3yr old PC, no problems with it until last week. Plenty of RAM and gard disc space left (75%)
I regulary (every other day) run disk cleanup, defrag, anit virus, spyware, malware.... but have got the above error code whenever i try to 'right mouse click' on anything.

I have payed for & downloaded Regcure, its claims were to sort out the problem - but it still persists.

Sure that's the right error code ? ?
Not sure i would recommend RegCure for a fix.

Thats the error code i'm getting.

A Google search and several hours of reading up on 'what was best' and Regcure 'claimed' to be able to sort it out.

You should be using any registry fixing programs. Did you actually use them?

I have just downloaded Regcure! Have used it and set a schedule

Details of my PC are:
Pentium dual core processer
Windows XP SP3
2GB Memory
250 Hard drive
 As stated, regularily run defrag, disk cleanup
Have Symatic Firewall & Virus
Run:-
Spybot,
Malwarebytes anti-Malware,
Ad-aware,
XoftSpySE,
Spy sweeper

Cant think of anything else!

What do u mean 'how is the error issue? If you mean what are the symptoms - when i right mouse click on a folder it 'crashes' back to desktop and gives me the windows explorer message with the erroe code.

I can send you a screen shot if that helps?

You should be using any registry fixing programs.

Playing with registry is unnecessary, and often dangerous. You may end up with unbootable computer.

Navigate to: C:\Windows\Minidump folder.
If you see any .dmp files, zip all of them, and attach zipped file to your next reply.

Ok - i've got three. No idea how to 'zip them up' please advise

To zip a file...
Download, and install 7-zip: http://www.7-zip.org/
Right click on a file, you want to zip.
Click 7-zip, then Add to archive.
Click on drop-down menu, next to Archive format, and select zip format.
Click OK.
You'll find zipped file (.zip extension) in the same folder as the original file.

While waiting for your replies i have looked at other threads which advised free virus checker, spybot etc... As i indicated above i already had spybot so uninstalled 'spysweeper', and i CAN NOW RIGHT CLICK, or at least i could to zip the files???

Any idea's?

Open 7-zip.
Drag all .dmp files into 7-zip window.
It'll create ***.zip file inside 7-zip window.
Drag ***.zip to the desktop, and attach it to your next reply.

As for .dmp files, one is from 2007, and the other two are 1 month old, so I don't think, they matter.
