    Unknown password for user account
    « on: May 31, 2009, 02:32:22 AM »
I have just bought an ex demo (poss refurbished) laptop from a high street retailer while on holiday in UK. Am now back in Spain and just turned it on to find the user account is pre-set and I have no idea how to get access to the computer. It is Vista Basic OS. Is there a by pass? or can i add another account to it? Help please!

      Thank you Dusty,

I looked at the link you sent and it gave some good if daunting options for a newbie. In the end though the retailers help desk talked me through a factory restore by interrupting the boot up and all seems ok.

Now problem is that I am struggling to pick up a wireless network that i know is available and working fine!

Still thanks for the welcome and I hope to utilise this forum more often.
