Infected Computer --shuts down in Safe Mode-- HELP
« on: June 02, 2009, 11:44:49 AM »
My computer was infected by a trojan that was picked up by WD Diagnostics...win32.brontok ( I think)?

In any event, i have tried scrubbing my computer using various anti virus/Malware programs (Symantic, MalwareBytes, ComboFix, AVG) My last scrub using AVG8 found 4 trojans and they all report my system as clean, but when I try to run any of these applications in safe mode, my PC shuts itself off. Does this mean it's self infected?

Please, if anyone has suggestions i'd appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks,
Joptan
