Windows crashing
« on: June 03, 2009, 12:11:19 PM »
My computer has been freezing up or rebooting all by it's self. The error message i get is C:\DOCUME~\ADMINI~1\Temp\WERf823.dir00/wmplayer.exe.mdmp  and C:\DOCUME~\ADMINI~1\Temp\WERf823.dir00\appcompact.txl. This is the only error i have been getting. I have done a few searches and can't find anything that helps.
Yesterday as i was putting in a stick of 512ram (one that has been in there before). My system crashed and had to reinstall windows XP pro, after i did, when i shut down the system, it showed a blue screen and said something to the effect of Kernal_impact, and was dumping phyisical memmory to disk.
If anyone knows anything, thanks

If it means anything I use WMP9, AMD 2100, 1g ram, 80g HD, VC is Geforce7600 GT.
