1 long beep at start-up
« on: May 22, 2005, 02:43:54 PM »
I just built my pc with MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum MB , AMD 64 3000, Kingston DDR400 1GB and Coolmax CX-450B 450W power supply.  When I use the power button in front I get 1 long beep and nothing happens but if I hit the front button to turn on and then use the power button in back, off then back on again I get 1 short beep and everything is fine. Thanks for your help!

I'm using the built-in sound on MB,no sound card. One other thing that bothers me is that I sent 3 e-mails to MSI tech support with no reply also the manual is light on trouble shooting.  Thanks for the responses.

  • Recheck all cables and connectors
  • Reseat all hardware.

-- Technical support never responds during weekends. If you have written to them during a work day and not received a reply in at least 5 days, I suggest you E-mail again but this time pay specific attention to any demands they may place on your E-mail.

For example: certain technical support wants you to put a specific text in the subject line or otherwise their filters will consider your message spam.
