« on: June 21, 2009, 08:21:43 PM »
What does the pagefilesys file do?
Should we delete it?

C:\>attrib  pagefile.sys
A  SH      C:\pagefile.sys

C:\>ls -last pagefile.sys
4171984 -rwhrwsrwa 1 0       0       2136055808 Jun 20 20:25 pagefile.sys

2.136055808 * (10^9) = 2 136 055 808
    More about calculator.
 Is this over two Gig?

1 073 741 824 * 2 = 2 147 483 648

The pagefile is the swap area where Windows dumps things too big for RAM...
It should be approx 1.5 times the amount of RAM installed up to a max of 2G.
