Can SLI-ready RAM work with Intel Chipset
« on: June 28, 2009, 07:31:07 AM »
According to http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,85979.0.html , I have SLI-ready RAM with a Intel P43 chipset board on my things to buy. I need to know if a SLI-ready RAM chip works with a non-nVidia nForce chipset without SLI.

If you are not planning on running SLI then the extra $$ for that RAM is a waste...
If you haven't bought it yet i wouldn't.
It would be better to spend extra on a board that supports DDR3....
The new standard and the prices are starting to come way down.

patio is 100% correct.

I'd have gone with a higher number, but I don't want to see the thread deteriorate into an analysis of my maths skills.  :)
