Deleting text from multiple files?

Newcomer to DOS, I couldn't find any hints/tips online about deleting a 'specific' line of text from multiple files of same 'type'.
eg. 'This is my text' to be deleted from *.htm files.
Would appreciate if anyone can advise or direct me to suitable solution.
