computer speakers

my computer speakers wont play unless i turn the wave volume up. all other volume controls seem to be fine. everything was working fine but i installed a wireless mouse. i dont know if that has anything to do with it but i cant figure it out. i dont know if i accidentally hit something or what.  please help

What if you put in an audio cd?

You need the Wave volume control up to hear sounds.

That depends on the sounds.  Not all audio files are waves.
