I think my wife's computer is infected
    « on: July 26, 2009, 01:46:06 PM »
    Hi all,
I suspect my wife's computer has a virus.  I came across a file named wizard.txt in her C drive and since neither she nor I are into wizards, I looked in it.  It contained my router password (uncool).  Anyhow, I did a google search for such occurences and my search led me to this forum.   I have followed the instructions specified by Computer Hope Virus and Spyware section Guidelines and have obtained the following log files.
Any help that can be provided would be much appreciated.

Cool tool.  I thinked I fixed everything save 1 glaring issue.  The process tool says that it could not detect a firewall process running on the computer.  I checked the security center in the control panel and it says the windows firewall is turned on.  I turned it off and then on again (who knows) and it is still not detected by the process tool.  Any ideas.

          Try run ShieldsUP from http://www.grc.com/intro.htm

This will allow you to check your security.
