    Generic Host Process Error

    Sometimes in the middle of my work while I'm connected to the internet I get this error message.

    Generic Host Process Win32Services has encountered a problem and needs to close

    After I click the 'Don't Send' button , my internet is disconnected and then it does not reconnect, and the desktop and all the desktop icons appear like they do in safe mode but only for a second.

    I have attached a screen shot.

      Also, I'm using windows Xp and this has only started happening since I'm using a new modem and ISP.

      Temporarily turn off Automatic Updates for a day or 2 and see if the error message stops....

            INSTALL WIN XP SERVICE PACK 3
            THIS ERROR OCCURS TO MACHINES HAVING WIN XP SP2 ONLY.

              Hey relax! You shouldn't yell at a lady! ;)

              I had already looked this up and I also came across articles where they said that this problem occurs in SP2 only.
