Hi,
     I would like to connect my Seagate ultra ATA hard drive to my new dell computer. The dell computer has a SATA 3.0b/s Hard drive currently installed. Could someone please tell me how i would go about doing this? thank you very much.  :)

i would have to say unplug the old one
and plug in the new one (carefule you will lose operating system)

Set the jumper as slave on the back of the drive...

Hook it up to an IDE ribbon cable and a 4 pin Molex power connector...


MBoard============================Slave======Master.

When you re-boot the first time enter Setup ( the BIOS ) to see if the drive is recognised...if so re-boot.
Is there an OS installed on this drive ? ?
