I've always wanted to make myself a custom XP Cd, but the only version of XP I have is an OEM factory image disk, and the i386 file is in C:\windows\i386

not    C:\i386

will it work if the i386 file is in the Windows folder?

Thanks BC for fixing the URL. Here is a partial quote from the article:

Quote
Copy the entire C:\I386 to C:\XPSETUP. When you have finished, you will have C:\XPSETUP\I386. Notice that I said "copy", not "move". Do NOT  drag and drop the I386 folder into the XPSETUP directory.

This means you have to copy the i386 fouler  to a a new folder that will be usef to make the bootlace CD.
